Badger Basin State Wildlife Area

Located along the South Fork of the South Platte, Badger Basin State Wildlife Area provides public fishing access to both the South Fork, and Four-Mile Creek. Badgers are common animals in this part of the watershed, as is the mountain plover, an upland bird that depends on the short-grass prairie of South Park for its summer breeding grounds.
