Wigwam Creek Fire Impacts

Light rains following the Hayman Fire heavily impacted Wigwam Creek. The black ash and sediment are clearly visible. Thousands of fish were killed as a result of the fire and subsequent erosion and sedimentation. The sediment and ash move down to the larger streams, impacting water quality for municipal water supplies, aquatic life and recreation.
